...Do we desire the pleasure of people over the pleasure of Allah? All actions and intentions are for Allah alone - especially our worship (ibaadah). Its easy to fall into the 'Am I good enough for others?' trap and then try to please others. We're human and we will go through this. You might be going through it now. But we need to work on it daily to overcome it as well as help each other to overcome it. Let's make this our daily reflection action insha'Allah :)
...Start the day with the right intention. Actions come from intentions. Make an intention of what you want to do and achieve and then go work on that full on and when you make your intention make sure you add in there 'And God is the best of all planner - I have tawakul in Him'.
...If you see someone become an overnight success then know that firstly its through God's Will and secondly through hard work. And if you see those people still around in years to come then know that they are working hours that others would sleep through. If they disappear after a few months of overnight success then they didn't purify their intentions and sincerity. Hard work does pay off and pay good. Even if your worship. Don't quit! :)
Actions come from Intentions, so let's continuously keep check on our intentions so our actions are not harming our souls.
To err is to human and to forgive Divine but He az wajal has given us aql - intellect to choose between right and wrong. We will never reach perfect as 'perfection' belongs to Allah alone however we can continuously check ourselves. The mind is an extremely powerful organ and it acts on what we feed it. Let's try and be more concious with our thoughts and what we feed our mind so we purify our intentions and our actions can be purified insha'Allah. There is nothing more difficult for me to correct than my intentions, for it continually attempts to change."
{Sufyaan ath-Thawree rahimahullah} ...These were the great ones from the past - and today we slip and trip and don't even care. Let's take this lesson to heart insha'Allah and implement it :) |
