...For two years in a row now me and my Queen Mama have spent New Years Eve shopping in town (City Centre) and having a meal (with a dessert, yes!) at Pizza Hut.
King Abu prefers to stay at home with Mano (my cat) so we bring them food back. I've faced a lot of challenges in 2013 - in all areas of my life - and only my closest have known about it. To the world i'm still the Queen of Inspiration and Motivation though. Although each moment has taught me a lot - i have learnt a lot in 2013 overall! God does not burden a soul more than s/he can bear. I had lessons to learn and will do so every day of my life! Here's looking forward to a fresh and clean start - 2014 - onwards and upwards. I'm re-connected to my purpose and my mission in this world. There's no stopping me now! Not til God says my time is up. Ready? Let's do this! Bismillah-ExCel!

"Yearning for Allah and His meeting is like the gentle breeze blowing upon the heart, extinguishing the blaze of the world (Duniyah). Whosoever caused his heart to settle with his Lord shall be in a state, calm and tranquil, and whosoever sent it amongst the people shall be disturbed and excessively perturbed (anxious/unsettled)!" Ibn Qayyim Al Jawziyyah
...Everybody needs somebody - a shoulder to lean on - someone to listen to us scream and hear us cry and say it'll be ok. Sometimes that someone you want isn't always there. That's ok because God is ALWAYS there and He's the only one we need because even that somebody who you need is in need of God!
...Who said you have to change yourself or fit in to succeed? Who said a Muslimah can't succeed with a hijaab and abayah? Almost all my coaches/mentors and teachers/trainers (expect for my Islamic Sciences/studies) are non-Muslim. Non of them have ever said I need to dress or act in a certain way to 'fit in' or 'succeed'. They respect me for who I am and what I stand for and are actually more welcoming of me than most Muslims. Moral - sell yourself to the devil himself and you'll lose both this world and next. Stay steadfast holding God's hand and success in both worlds is yours. Try it and just be YOU!
...He (swt) is the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth and He (swt) governs them all. If He (swt)knows what's hidden in the depths of the sea then He (swt) knows what's in the depths of our heart. Turn to Him as He's the only one who can fill it with His life. Our soul needs Him (swt) alone.
...Celebrate the praises of your Lord - day and night - and say alhamdulilah ala kuli haal - for really, He (swt) has given us everything we need and He (swt) has given us life - to achieve and do great things. This Ramadan plant the seed and say Bismillah. You too can achieve greatness - for yourself and for humanity! Khaapy Monday y'all!
...Thank God and say alhamdulilah for all your experiences as they all have lessons for you and lessons to help others.
...Your hard earned money is a blessing from God so reinvest it in goodness - reinvest it in purposeful and meaningful projects which will benefit both your duniya and akhirah - invest it in water wells, education programs, shelter homes, orphanages, food banks etc. Don't waste it on beauty treatments and health/diet fads - Ramadan is a natural detoxifier and botox!
...If God is not the centre of our world and if we don't remember Him from our core and depths of our heart and soul at least once daily then there is something really not right. Doesn't matter if we wear hijaab/niqaab or have beards. We always point fingers at those who don't observe the outer religious garment however many of these same people are distracted daily by shiny objects. What shiny objects? Fashion, beauty, makeup, hijaab tutorials and what matches with what outfit. There's a place for everything in life. Clearly when God is not our priority then we have broken hearts and torn souls - we are unhappy and restless.
...My days are spent spreading love and light and giving hope to those who only see darkness. Soul and Heart therapy not just for them, but me also.
Thank you God, walhamdulilah *Khaapy* :) |
