...For two years in a row now me and my Queen Mama have spent New Years Eve shopping in town (City Centre) and having a meal (with a dessert, yes!) at Pizza Hut.
King Abu prefers to stay at home with Mano (my cat) so we bring them food back. I've faced a lot of challenges in 2013 - in all areas of my life - and only my closest have known about it. To the world i'm still the Queen of Inspiration and Motivation though. Although each moment has taught me a lot - i have learnt a lot in 2013 overall! God does not burden a soul more than s/he can bear. I had lessons to learn and will do so every day of my life! Here's looking forward to a fresh and clean start - 2014 - onwards and upwards. I'm re-connected to my purpose and my mission in this world. There's no stopping me now! Not til God says my time is up. Ready? Let's do this! Bismillah-ExCel!

How do we deal with each other? Have a personal reflection moment as non of us are immune from our ego. We're human and a work in progress. However take inspiration from the following and get motivated to become the better version of you now insha'Allah. “The manner you deal with people in is the same way Allah will deal with you, both in this world and in the hereafter.” Ibn Qayyim. Now THIS is powerful!
...Everything happens for a reason. There are no accidents or coincidences. Each incident is linked to another. Each person is linked to that situation. Everyone comes into your life for a reason. You're sent to someone's life for a reason. I've learned so much in such a short time. All those who were once 'random' souls are linked to my world in one way or another today. And once again my unique purpose in life is renewed. Never dismiss a situation or person. We're all linked. And I believe in miracles. Watch them unfold right in front of you
![]() ...Be courageous and listen to your heart. God will guide it to what you need to do and what you need to let go off. Just be calm and listen. Sometimes people will tell you that your heart is weak, makes mistakes, is foolish etc etc. But the fact is when you say that, you're running away from your own inner knowing that God placed within you. Don't blame the heart like it's something bad and needs to be punished. Learn to listen to it. We ask God; 'Guide us to the straight path' and when He (swt) does we go in a frenzy and blame the heart. What's up with that? If you truly believe that God will guide you to the straight path then listen to His guidance - listen to that 'knowing' within you. Or stay stuck in a miserable rut. Your choice. Choose well! :) ...Don't be afraid to be Muslim - especially in Ramadan. If you want to pray, then pray. If you want to read Qur'an then read Qur'an. If you want to attend tarawih, then attend tarawih. If you want to signup to an online class this month then go ahead. Don't be afraid. Has your heart and soul always wanted to get closer to Allah? Then just do it. Doesn't matter what others say - whether you wear a hijaab/niqaab or not - whether you have a beard or not. Listen, the way i see it, what you do behind closed doors is between you and Allah! I know that just like me you want to pray, read Qur'an, talk to Allah, become better. So go ahead. I'm not better than you! If people call you hypocrite then let them. Maybe this month is the month that creates miracles in your life. And if you are a 'practicing' (how i dislike that word!) Muslim then how about encourage those who don't usually attend mosque, pray, read Qur'an. How about support them for a change? What's with the arrogance? Drop it! No one is guaranteed Jannah - not me nor you, except by His mercy! Let this month bring positive changes to all our lives.
...Sometimes it can get too much. Even if you feel that you're on the right tracks, you can get overwhelmed. When this happens, I always remind myself and ask myself; 'Why did God create me?'. 'What is my purpose?'. 'What is my ultimate vision?'. These three questions seem so basic but they always get me back on track. Its ok to have 'one of those days' as we need these type of days to help us get back on track and re-connect with our purpose. Hope that helps insha'Allah :)
'Every Soul Shall Taste Death!'. This is our daily reminder. This is the ONLY truth and ONLY ultimate reality. We are not meant to be here forever. We're on a journey. We are travellers. Our ultimate destination is the next life - Heaven or Hell. This life is meant to bring ups and downs, tests and trials. The reality is that souls are departing this world at nano-seconds. Were they prepared? Are we prepared? Take your provision for the journey - but let's not get too comfortable. We don't want to lose our next life because we were too focused on this life!
....Everyone is searching for the 'one' yet everyone is too busy to worship 'The One'!
...I'm not white, nor black nor brown. I'm all colours of the rainbow! :D ♥
...When you make dua today then remember to make dua for all the unsung heroes of our community who have dedicated their lives to helping others. They don't have facebook pages or websites. They don't have speaking arrangements, workshops or tours. They don't have a published book. They are not being overly modest. All they are doing is what their heart is happy with and what they were created to do. They don't get any awards or standing ovations. Their ultimate reward is with Allah. These are the true heroes and public figures! :)
