...As the day unwinds and its time to rest take a moment to be grateful and thankful for all that happened today. You did your best. Learn from today. And if you can't think of things to be grateful and thankful for then at least be grateful and thankful that you're still breathing. Never lose hope in the mercy of Allah :)

...How do YOU spend your moments?
Work, study, fam, friends, kids, hobbies etc. Know that each moment of ours is the only moment and once its gone it will never return. Be in the moment, present and focused on the task - so you don't miss out on its importance. Each moment is our only moment that knows the moment that was, is and will be - so spend each moment in the remembrance of Allah as we don't know which moment will be our last. By doing good and fulfilling daily rights you're worshipping and in Allah's remembrance. Appreciate those who you have this moment - for they may not be there in the next moment. Each moment of ours is very powerful as it only takes a moment for something to happen. Give someone special in your life the gift of moment today - when you talk to them be fully present, focused and appreciate that they are in your life. May ALL your moments be blessed and in Allah's obedience - ameen! ...Sometimes we really need to control our tongue - either use it for good or keep it quiet.
"As long as the tongue is occupied in Dhikr, it will be safe from unbecoming speech and lies, because it never keeps quiet. Alike it is with the heart, if it is not occupied in love of Allah then it will love a creature." Quote: Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya Rahimahullah Our pious predecessors have left us with many wisdoms to help us even today in 2012. We have no excuse. Let's take heed and implement these lessons iA. We always want - yet we continuously fail the call of our Creator.
'If you desire Allah to be persistent in granting you the thing you love, be persistent in doing the things He loves!' Imam Ahmad Worship Allah with full sincerity and focus and He shall answer your duas. He may not answer them exactly the way you want but He will give you what He knows is best for you iA! Who do we place our trust in?
"Enough for me is Allah. There is no God but He. In Him I have placed my trust, and He is the Lord of the great throne." [Qur'an; 9:129] Next time anything doesn't go to plan then close your eyes, take a deep breath and focus on Allah and know that He created us and He will get us through. Just hold on tight to His rope and never give up! :) ***Gratitude Check***
WBI notebooks ready please... "Be grateful for what you have, while in pursuit of what you want". Jim Rohn Important lesson because we often forget all the things we already have and whilst in search of new horizons we forget to utilise, appreciate, benefit and give thanks for what we've already been given. Why in such a rush? Enjoy the things Allah has blessed you with and iA He (swt) will give you more. If we rush then we will forget all the precious moments and we may be left with nothing. So say; الحمد لله على كل حال for everything we have and keep tawakul that Allah (swt) will bless us with more, iA! Every day you wake up and open your eyes you have witnessed a miracle.
Every day is a chance to get closer to Allah - to perfect your ibaadah and abstain from sins. Every day is a chance to mend wrongs and make things right. Every day say; 'Alhamdulillah ala kulli haal'. Are you thanking Allah daily? 'Alhamdulillah ala kulli haal!' Because we really do have a lot to be thankful and grateful for. How do we deal with people? Are we kind and considerate or do we always want things our way only?
"The manner you deal with people in is the same manner Allah will deal with you, both in this world and the hereafter" (Ibn al-Qayyim). ***Reflection Moment*** Now how do we really treat people and after reading the above how Let others 'Live', we are all on a unique journey.
Yes the ultimate vision is Jannah al-Firdaus, but don't knit pick on peoples bad/negative habits. We all have bad/negative habits which we need to work on iA. Give them nasiha or even practical examples - and anyway change starts within each of us - if we be the best version of us upon the deen then iA that will be reflected and it will soften the hearts of others and it'll be easier to advice them and help them through. Always remember - we've all been there and we were all guided. Whomsoever Allah guides non can misguide! So Live and let's others Live and stop putting them down - that will only take them further away from the deen and from Allah. Do people sometimes confuse you?
