Life has its ups and downs. Whenever we are faced with some uncertainty or dilemma what should we do?
The Prophet (pbuh) said; 'Seek verdict from your heart. Virtue is that which your soul and heart feel satisfied with. Sin is that which troubles the soul and about which the heart is uneasy and confused, even though people may give their legal opinions in its favour'. (Muslim) Hand your Heart and Soul over to Allah and make Dua and prolong Sujood in Salah and ask Him to guide your heart and soul to the correct decisions and answers. Tune yourself to your inner core and listen to what your heart and soul are telling you. All the answers lie within you. And Allah (swt) will guide you to those answers.

Ever had your heart broken by someone or something? We're human and we've all been there!
ALLAH is with the broken hearted... "When your heart breaks, it’s a good thing – the breaking of the heart is what opens it up to the light of Allah. The dunya is designed to break your heart, to crush it." Hamza Yusuf Allah is asking you not to be too dependent on His creation and be dependent only upon Him, the Creator. Don't forget Him by chasing His creation for His creation is time-bound where as He is Ever-Living and Eternal. His creation are dependent upon Him too - so don't be hurt if they take from you and leave you as He, Allah will never forsake you! Many a times when we don't hear from our loved ones we hurt deep inside and think a billion things. Many a times we get so busy that we 'forget' to check in on our loved ones.
This is how we are with the creation - but what about the Creator? The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "My Lord says, 'If My slave comes nearer to me for a span, I go nearer to him for a cubit; and if he comes nearer to Me for a cubit, I go nearer to him for the span of outstretched arms; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.' " Bukhari Vol. 9 : No. 627 Yet we ignore our Rabb on a daily - we neglect our Ibaadah, we neglect our Salah, our Qur'an - we get caught up in the daily glitz and glam and then we say we are lonely, empty and heart broken. If we don't call our loved ones and then we meet them we know we're in for some serious whooping! But what about our Rabb? He is waiting to answer us - will YOU make that all important call to Him today? Because if we return to Him today how will we face Him? When a bird is alive it eats ants but when the bird is dead ants eat it!
Time and circumstances can change at any time... Don't devalue or hurt anyone in life... You may be powerful today but remember time is more powerful than you! One tree makes a million match sticks but when the time comes only one match stick is needed to burn a million trees... So be good and do good for the sake of your souls. ...We are NOT living in crazy or mad TIMES! Let's not blame that creation of God which is in His strict obedience - but let's blame the creation which has free will and is continuously disobedient to the Creator! Its people who have gone mad/crazy not Time!

Sufyan ath-Thawri(rahimahullah) said: "Improve your secret and private life, and Allah will improve your public and social life. Make matters well between you and Allah, and Allah will make matters well between you and people. Work for the Hereafter, and Allah will be enough for you in your worldly concerns." We spend too much time sometimes worrying when all we need to do is turn to the one
who created us for counsel and help... "Whoever submits himself completely to the obedience of Allah and does good will find his reward with his Lord. No fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve." [2:112] ...How do YOU spend your moments?
Work, study, fam, friends, kids, hobbies etc. Know that each moment of ours is the only moment and once its gone it will never return. Be in the moment, present and focused on the task - so you don't miss out on its importance. Each moment is our only moment that knows the moment that was, is and will be - so spend each moment in the remembrance of Allah as we don't know which moment will be our last. By doing good and fulfilling daily rights you're worshipping and in Allah's remembrance. Appreciate those who you have this moment - for they may not be there in the next moment. Each moment of ours is very powerful as it only takes a moment for something to happen. Give someone special in your life the gift of moment today - when you talk to them be fully present, focused and appreciate that they are in your life. May ALL your moments be blessed and in Allah's obedience - ameen! Start your week on a spiritual high, iA :)
Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira: The Prophet (SAW) said, "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that". Bukhari Have a blessed, productive, successful and peaceful week ahead, iA and remember, Allah loves YOU! :) |
