...Why waste your day on bickering and fighting? Gossiping? So-and-so-did-this-or-that? Or the famous self-proclaimed fatwah battles on fb? What do they achieve within your 24hrs? Are you happy? Don't fight a losing battle because the only important battle to win on a daily is within ourselves - within our heart and soul - to tame them and train them. All of us - me and you. Let's fix up before we get fixed up! Clock is ticking for us!

No one is ugly! If we don't like someone then fine - move along. But don't abuse someone with bad names. Don't feed your own soul with self-righteousness by abusing someone. If we consider someone ugly then its our perception that is ugly because we have been feeding our heart and soul with ugliness. God doesn't create ugly in His creation - let's not disrespect His creation. As my mama always says, point a finger at someone and remember how many fingers are pointing back at you.
...Too much of one thing is hazardous - like too much junk food or too much tv. Too much of this dunyia can strip the soul of peace, ease and creativity. Spend time reflecting on your journey and where you're headed. Chose jobs, studies, work which not only bring you happiness but are compatible with the deen.
...Want to become a multi-billionaire? Want to know the 'Ultimate Secret' and get ahead? Simple. Work on your relationship with your Creator, fulfil His rights, establish prayer, give charity, fulfil the rights of fellow humans, animals, nature, connect and implement the teachings of His book and follow the best example of His beloved and final Prophet - and become a loving, giving soul - one who works to cleanse his/her heart and soul daily and rid it of jealousy, envy and hatred - and that's all you have to do to become a multi-billionaire. And THEN He (swt) will help you take care of all your duniya needs iA :)
...'GET OVER IT!'
They say (family and friends). But only you know how it feels and how much it hurts. Whether its losing a loved one, not getting a job, failing an exam, you feel like a failure and not good enough. Remember this life is only temporary and a test. The biggest test is yet to come and if we fail that then we'll truly lose. Keep tawakkul in Allah. Why would Allah, the One who created you, leave you alone? He inspires you to answers - look deep within - pick yourself up - even if you have no one, you have Allah. The return is to Him. Work hard for your akhirah - your ultimate goal is Allah and Jannah al-Firdaus - fix your relationship with Him and He will fix everything else. Its the new trend and if you've got it then your at the top end!
"The term originated in an IBM study...Turns out that ambition alone is mediocre; ambition plus intellectual humility is the winning combination. Humbition is made up partly of ambition: being really fired up, energized, and evaluating yourself highly in terms of the impact you might be able to have on your team, in your organization, on the world around you. And then, humbition is also having a genuine sense of intellectual humility.” So...STOP being mediocre and get into ExCel mode! Become Humbitious in everything that you do - both deen and duniya! ...In both your deen and duniya. You need to believe it and then act upon your belief, iA!
"A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals." Larry Bird Allah has blessed YOU immensely. So be thankful and grateful and utilise all your skills today to achieve something great insha'Allah! The three main forms of energy are physical energy, emotional energy, and mental energy. Each one needs to be looked after for optimum success!
If even one of these is less than 100% then you will suffer. We will suffer in our work/studies/relationships/ibaadah - all of them... If you're suffering from low energy in any one of these areas then identify who or what is bringing you down and then keep yourself away from it or them. Trust me, it's for your own good! Don't allow others to steal your energy - there are many who will take from you and leave you low in energy - leave you empty! We need to be in top form in all three areas so we can succeed both in our duniya and akhirah insha'Allah! ...We use a mirror to see how good we look and if we're presentable to the world. Let's look into our heart and soul and see if we're presentable in front of Allah! Just the way we take care of our outer appearance, we need to take care of our 'inner appearance' - we need to nourish our hearts and souls and purify them.
Remember, we can beautify our outer appearance as much as we want to but if our inside is ugly and evil then eventually that will show through. Allah is the One who counts - not the people in the duniya... In today's world we are too competitive.
Healthy competition is good. It keeps those creative juices flowing. But when all our energy is focused on just competing with others then we don't live our own lives fully. Don't compete with others but compete with yourself. How? Whatever you do in your deen or duniya start doing more. Add a little on each day. If you pray all your fard then start praying your sunnah. Compete with yourself to better yourself. Look up to those who are doing more and better than you. Be inspired and motivated by them to create your own perfect life and to prepare for your best akhirah iA. You only have one life in this world - don't waste it competing and living someone else's - be the best version of YOU! Give 150% to everything you do. |
