It is true to say that we as a human race are too quick to judge!
We don't look at all the facts and we blindly follow everyone else. Our pious predecessors had something very important to teach about this concept. It is reported that ‘Abdullâh b. Al-Mubârak said; It is right that an intelligent person does not undervalue three [types of people]: the scholars, the rulers, and [his Muslim] brothers. Whoever undervalues the scholars will lose his afterlife, whoever undervalues the rulers will lose his worldly life, and whoever undervalues his brothers loses his good character and conduct. Al-Dhahabî, Siyar A’lâm Al-Nubalâ`17:251. Undervaluing can also mean judging without knowing or being prejudiced. Not respecting someone's status and achievements. Being jealous and envious. As my mother always say; 'When you point a finger at someone just remember how many fingers are pointing right back at you!'

Spending too much time amongst people can be detrimental - even if you're crazy about them.
We can fall into negative talk, gossip, unprodutivity, laziness and then discomfort. And then to make up for this 'empty' feeling inside and discomfort, we go back for round two - more gossip, more useless banter etc. "The heart will rest and feel relief if it is settled with Allah and it will worry and be anxious if it is settled with the people." {Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya rahimahullah} Learn to balance it all iA. Spend quality time with loved ones. Quality time on your own hobbies and pursuits and quality time reflecting, remembering and connecting with Allah (besides the obligatory). The three main forms of energy are physical energy, emotional energy, and mental energy. Each one needs to be looked after for optimum success!
If even one of these is less than 100% then you will suffer. We will suffer in our work/studies/relationships/ibaadah - all of them... If you're suffering from low energy in any one of these areas then identify who or what is bringing you down and then keep yourself away from it or them. Trust me, it's for your own good! Don't allow others to steal your energy - there are many who will take from you and leave you low in energy - leave you empty! We need to be in top form in all three areas so we can succeed both in our duniya and akhirah insha'Allah! ...One of the hardest things in life daily is listening to one's own advice! Its so easy to give advice to our friends and watching their lives improve sweetly for the better yet its so bitter drinking that advice for ourselves! If only we really do listen to our soul, we'd be much happier and content...
We, as a human race, just complain too much!
"You say, "The country is messed up." That's like cursing the soil and the seed and the sunshine and the rain, which is all you've got. Don't curse all you've got. When you get your own planet, you can rearrange this whole deal. This one you've got to take like it comes." Jim Rohn So let's appreciate ALL that Allah has blessed us with as He (swt) asks us; 'So Which Of Your Lords Favours Will You Deny?!' Let's not be from amongst the ungrateful servants...and let's always have an attitude of gratitude... ..."Nothing in the nature lives for itself. Rivers don't drink their own water, trees don't eat their own fruit, sun doesn't give heat for itself, moon doesn't ever go on honeymoon, flowers don't spread fragrance for themselves.
Moral: Living for others is the Rule of Nature." ...'Forget incidents that made you sad. Remember those that made you glad.
Forgive friends that proved untrue and Remember those who stuck by you. Forget troubles that passed away and always Remember to thank Allah for the blessings and miracles we receive every day.' Have A Blessed Friday Fam - Duas for Everyone, Everyone! ♡ The best of teachers, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
“Carry on doing (good) deeds, for each person will find it easy to do such deeds as will lead him to his destined place for which he has been created. So, he who is destined to be among the happy (in the Hereafter), will find it easy to do the deeds characteristic of such people...” Bukhari A week before 28th March 2010 I started to fall ill - very, very ill. I was going to enter my fourth decade in this world and I fell ill. I was preparing to leave this world. After many tests and hospital visits, a week before Ramadan 2010 I got better and all tests came back negative. Life is just too, too short! And I decided to make the best of it and my calling in life was revealed to me; 'We Be Inspired' was born on March 28th 2011 - the same date Allah (swt) Willed for me to enter this world! Your love, duas, support means everything to me! We Be Inspired is 1 year old today - JazaakAllah Khairun to ALL of YOU - WBI Family! Jzks for being part of my world - you're truly treasured! Re-read the hadith above and Be Inspired to do the best in this world and prepare for your best akhira insha'Allah as Allah (swt) created YOU the best and wants YOU to do the best! :) ..."We are not powerless specks of dust drifting around in the wind, blown by random destiny. We are, each of us, like beautiful snowflakes – unique, and born for a specific reason and purpose." Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
And let's not forget our ultimate purpose which Allah created for us. He (swt) says; "And I (Allah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)" [Qur'an 51:56] Let's make sure our unique purpose is aligned with our ultimate purpose and iA only then will we succeed both in this world and next. ...In life we're not defined by the kind of problems we have, but by how we handle them!
How do YOU handle your problems? Its ok to have a 'pitty party' - feeling sorry for oneself and letting those emotions out but don't allow it to take over! Remember Allah says in the Qur'an; 'Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope'. This simply means that whatever comes our way Allah already knows we can handle it - He's looking for our reactions - will we be grateful or ungrateful, will we curse or endure with patience, will we wallow in pitty or look for solutions. Let's not disappoint our Creator and let's not be defined by our problems but be defined by those who handle with patience and peserverance. |
