It is true to say that we as a human race are too quick to judge!
We don't look at all the facts and we blindly follow everyone else. Our pious predecessors had something very important to teach about this concept. It is reported that ‘Abdullâh b. Al-Mubârak said; It is right that an intelligent person does not undervalue three [types of people]: the scholars, the rulers, and [his Muslim] brothers. Whoever undervalues the scholars will lose his afterlife, whoever undervalues the rulers will lose his worldly life, and whoever undervalues his brothers loses his good character and conduct. Al-Dhahabî, Siyar A’lâm Al-Nubalâ`17:251. Undervaluing can also mean judging without knowing or being prejudiced. Not respecting someone's status and achievements. Being jealous and envious. As my mother always say; 'When you point a finger at someone just remember how many fingers are pointing right back at you!'

We, as a human race, just complain too much!
"You say, "The country is messed up." That's like cursing the soil and the seed and the sunshine and the rain, which is all you've got. Don't curse all you've got. When you get your own planet, you can rearrange this whole deal. This one you've got to take like it comes." Jim Rohn So let's appreciate ALL that Allah has blessed us with as He (swt) asks us; 'So Which Of Your Lords Favours Will You Deny?!' Let's not be from amongst the ungrateful servants...and let's always have an attitude of gratitude... Always positive? Always negative? Always in between? Or always confused?
Always wondering why the same thing happens over and over again - especially the negatives? "Whatever you hold in your mind on a consistent basis is exactly what you will experience in your life." Anthony Robbins So basically, YOU are what YOU think you are! Let's fix our mind and what we feed it daily and then insha'Allah everything else will get fixed! Because God helps those who help themselves! :) Actions come from Intentions, so let's continuously keep check on our intentions so our actions are not harming our souls.
To err is to human and to forgive Divine but He az wajal has given us aql - intellect to choose between right and wrong. We will never reach perfect as 'perfection' belongs to Allah alone however we can continuously check ourselves. The mind is an extremely powerful organ and it acts on what we feed it. Let's try and be more concious with our thoughts and what we feed our mind so we purify our intentions and our actions can be purified insha'Allah. ...If you don't ask you won't know!
That's my simple rule in life. Yes, some may laugh at you for asking a 'silly' question but you won't be 'silly' when you find the answers and those answers help you make positive changes in your life. In fact - you'll be very happy and content. Your soul will be at ease and peace. Whereas if you don't ask you'll always be restless and always ask; 'What If'! And you'll never get any closer to your answer! This 'What If' is a breeding ground for shaytaan. So don't feed him with your what ifs! Today be courageous and ask that question you've always wanted to ask - no more what ifs! And it is the courageous ones who succeed in life! You have everything to gain and nothing to lose...say Bismillah and Just Go For It! :) Instead of focusing on everything you haven't done, it’s about time to concentrate on things you have done and celebrate your success.
No progress is ever too small to be celebrated. So before you sleep tonight think about your accomplishments. Some days we need a break but it doesn't mean you haven't achieved anything - so think about your achievements and it will give you turBo-energy to continue with your to-do list iA! |
