Don’t look at expressions on faces. Don’t listen to what is said with tongues. Don’t let tears sway you. They are all but products of human skin. It changes everyday. Look instead for what is under the skin. Not the heart either, as it also fluctuates, nor the mind, as it changes its point of view whenever it changes its perspective. Moreover, the mind may accept at present what it denied in the past. Even scientists change their theories.
No, my son! If you want to understand a human, look at his or her action in a moment of free choice. Just then you will get very surprised as you may see a saint prostituting, and a whore praying! You may find a physician drinking poison, and you may get shocked by your friend stabbing your back, while your enemy saving you! You may see a servant who acts as noble as a master, and a master acts as despicable as the lowest servant! You may see kings taking bribes and wretches giving charity. Look at man when there is no fear to stop him; when caution sleeps, desire gets satisfied and barriers fall. Just then you can see man’s reality: walking on four legs like an animal, or flying like an angel, or creeping like a snake, or eating mud like worms. Dr. Mustapha Mahmoud Translated by: Amany Elmorshidy In life you will realise that there is a purpose for every person you meet.
Some are there to test you. Some will use you. Some will teach you. Some will bring out that best in you. Some may cause you pain, but you'll learn to move on. So let go of the people who can't treat you right and hold on to those who love you and see your worth. The gift of life is life itself :) ***Words of Wisdom***
By Sheikh. Waleed Abdulhakeem One of the biggest positive changes you could make in your life is to delete the phrase "One day..." from your vocabulary! One day, I will be a great Muslim. One day, I will travel the world. One day, I will open a business. One day, I will spend more time with my family. One day, I will try this or that hobby. One day, I will write a book. One day, I will learn a foreign language. One day, I will be a great leader. Why one day? If you want it soon, depend on Allah, write a step-by-step plan, and follow through, your "one day" will be today or this year insha'Allah! Alhamdulilah, most of my one days are in the past now. How about yourself? May Allah make you an achiever! Wow! Amazing subhan'Allah! :) I pray this wisdom from Sheikh inspires YOU to dream with your eyes open and make your ideal world come true - today! Ameen! 'Enough is Enough!'
But YOU have to decide who you keep and who you don't. YOU set the boundaries and its YOUR call. (Yes I know we can't chose our family - but there's wisdom behind why they're our family!). When you let go of those who hold you down negatively then you can finally lift yourself, be free and reach for the stars iA! Even if its negative family member(s) you still decide when you accept what they say and when you say 'NO!'. You owe it to yourself! :) Silence is Golden, Silence is Deadly, Silence is Powerful.
Through silence we can observe, reflect and understand so much. Our Pious Predecessors - the Giants of the Past - understood it and said it the best! “Whoever reflects will find that the noblest and most dignified person of every gathering is the one who is most silent, because silence beautifies the scholar and conceals the faults of the ignorant.” - Ibrahim an-Nakha‘î Make it a habit - a daily habit - to remain silent for up to 30mins and tru What is your motto in life?
What do you stand for? What do you believe in and what makes you act and react? Always stand up for Justice and Fairness - even if its against ourselves - because by standing against ourselves we can check ourselves and better ourselves and by standing up for Justice and Fairness for others we are defending Allah's commandments. Starting with ourselves also leaves us with less time to look at others faults. We all have faults and we all need to improve daily - so why waste time looking at others faults when we need to work on ourselves. When we stand up for Justice and Fairness against or for ourselves then we truly understand what it means to stand up for justice and fairness for all of God's creation. A beautiful hadith as a reminder. Sometimes our ego gets in the way and we're not nice!
"Whoever is kind, Allah will be kind to him; therefore be kind to man on the earth. He Who is in heaven will show mercy on you." (Abu Daud: Tirmidhi) So let's work on ourselves and then Allah (swt) will bless us in everything we do and will shower us with His Mercy, insha'Allah, ameen! :) Our kindness should reach the hearts of ALL of Allah's Creation and not just Humans :) Live in the land of 'I CAN' for if you do then you will allow all the doors to new possibilities and opportunities to open up. Try it.
Always remember that the only limitations are the ones we place on ourselves. We all have those negative moments but please YOU deserve more so be MORE and see your dreams unfold in front of you - one by one. This will only happen wwhen you allow yourself to be more and what you are capable of being. I CAN! Can YOU? I Believe in YOU! Don't become your own biggest critic by saying; 'I can't do this, I can't do that'. Don't limit yourselves - nurture your talents.
We all have talents and we're all blessed so much. Don't allow past negative words/statements and thoughts bring you down. Because everyone else will be living their dreams (and maybe yours) and you'll be left behind. Accept that life is a long learning journey - a quest - and each test makes you better and wiser. Look within yourself and stop hurting your own soul with your own negative thoughts and words. Nurture your talents and the only limits are the ones we place on ourselves. Nothings impossible - say; 'I Am Possible'. Always Remember... 'God does not change a condition of a people until they don't change themselves'. Our Creator - our Allah is on our side and wants us to succeed. Get up and go make your dreams a reality - go create your own ideal world. What's stopping you? Allah is with YOU not against you! :) |
