...Use it wisely as every second counts!
If you find yourself procrastinating from doing what you should be doing or wasting time doing that which you shouldn't - then remind yourself that... "Everyone who is taken by death asks for more time, while everyone who still has time makes excuses for procrastination." Ali ibn Abi Talib When we die we are completely cut off from this life, this world - what matters then is what happens in the grave. So, if we haven't worked on collecting all the goodness in this lifetime then nothing can help us from the torments of the grave (and then the fire of hell!) This life is temporary - we are here only for a moment. The time is ticking - so get up and do what you have to do before the time is up and its too late! The choice is yours...

It is true to say that we as a human race are too quick to judge!
We don't look at all the facts and we blindly follow everyone else. Our pious predecessors had something very important to teach about this concept. It is reported that ‘Abdullâh b. Al-Mubârak said; It is right that an intelligent person does not undervalue three [types of people]: the scholars, the rulers, and [his Muslim] brothers. Whoever undervalues the scholars will lose his afterlife, whoever undervalues the rulers will lose his worldly life, and whoever undervalues his brothers loses his good character and conduct. Al-Dhahabî, Siyar A’lâm Al-Nubalâ`17:251. Undervaluing can also mean judging without knowing or being prejudiced. Not respecting someone's status and achievements. Being jealous and envious. As my mother always say; 'When you point a finger at someone just remember how many fingers are pointing right back at you!' Spending too much time amongst people can be detrimental - even if you're crazy about them.
We can fall into negative talk, gossip, unprodutivity, laziness and then discomfort. And then to make up for this 'empty' feeling inside and discomfort, we go back for round two - more gossip, more useless banter etc. "The heart will rest and feel relief if it is settled with Allah and it will worry and be anxious if it is settled with the people." {Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya rahimahullah} Learn to balance it all iA. Spend quality time with loved ones. Quality time on your own hobbies and pursuits and quality time reflecting, remembering and connecting with Allah (besides the obligatory). ...What makes someone really beautiful is their soul - a God-Fearing, God-Loving soul, on the fitra, the natural disposition - yearning for Allah's Love, His Mercy and His Forgiveness. A soul which has realised his/her purpose - which is to worship Allah alone, who tries his/her bestest to be on the deen, a soul which realises its weaknesses and accepts that it will fall from time to time and needs to work daily to strengthen itself so it doesn't fall into temptations and desires. Beauty truly is skin deep. Its a soul which loves goodness, speaks goodness and trys to do good. There is no such thing as perfect and we shouldn't try to be that which we are not. Be humble, be modest but accept who you are - work on both your strengths and weaknesses and know that Allah is always with you and not against you - He will help you!
If your soul is beautiful then it will shine on the outside also iA. Stay Beautiful - coz that's how Allah created YOU! :) Want to make positive changes in your world?
Change takes time - its a process - but it can be done iA. "Thoughts are the root of all behaviour. Before you can change your actions, you must change your thoughts. To change really means challenging your previous assumptions. It is impossible to keep all the same assumptions and still expect to effectively change." Robert Chen Take that all important first step and make some positive changes in your life iA! The three main forms of energy are physical energy, emotional energy, and mental energy. Each one needs to be looked after for optimum success!
If even one of these is less than 100% then you will suffer. We will suffer in our work/studies/relationships/ibaadah - all of them... If you're suffering from low energy in any one of these areas then identify who or what is bringing you down and then keep yourself away from it or them. Trust me, it's for your own good! Don't allow others to steal your energy - there are many who will take from you and leave you low in energy - leave you empty! We need to be in top form in all three areas so we can succeed both in our duniya and akhirah insha'Allah! ...One of the hardest things in life daily is listening to one's own advice! Its so easy to give advice to our friends and watching their lives improve sweetly for the better yet its so bitter drinking that advice for ourselves! If only we really do listen to our soul, we'd be much happier and content...
We all want to try new things and learn new skills but sometimes when we take that first step we stop ourselves?
Why? It's ok to fall - how else will we learn and how else will we improve if we don't allow or accept that we will fall? Courage is not the absence of fear - its actually fear which gives us courage! "Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, professionals built the Titanic." (Anon) Exactly! And with Allah by YOUR side 24/7 you have nothing to be afraid of - so spread your wings and fly and just go for it! :) ...We use a mirror to see how good we look and if we're presentable to the world. Let's look into our heart and soul and see if we're presentable in front of Allah! Just the way we take care of our outer appearance, we need to take care of our 'inner appearance' - we need to nourish our hearts and souls and purify them.
Remember, we can beautify our outer appearance as much as we want to but if our inside is ugly and evil then eventually that will show through. Allah is the One who counts - not the people in the duniya... We all go through daily ups and downs - its life.
Its ok to let those emotions out - but let's not wallow in it for too long - because if we do then we lose focus on all the good we've been blessed with. ..."So lose not heart, nor fall into despair: For you will gain the upper hand if you are indeed true believers." (Ali Imran 3:139) He who has no one has Allah and he who has Allah has everything! Keep faith in Allah as He has Power over All! :) |
